London, March 06: For Rupert Friend, playing second fiddle to girlfriend Keira Knightley is a sign of a strong man, at least that’s what his recent comments about his character in the new Queen Victoria movie suggest.
“I think it takes a strong man to say: ‘My woman will always achieve more than I ever will, she will always have more power than I’ll ever have and she will probably be more popular than I’ll ever be and I don’t care,’” the Daily Express quoted the handsome actor as saying, while talking of his character in the film.
“That, to me, is about as close to the definition of a man as I’ve ever gotten,” he added.
Rupert and Keira have earlier worked together in ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
